Infecta-Guard - What is it?
Years of experience have shown many ear tags fall out within weeks of application due to application site infections. Fearing developed and was awared a patent on Infecta-Guard, a dissolvable coating of antibacterial solution containing chlorhexadine gluconate. The coating covers most of the stud and remains dry until applied to the ear where it slowly dissolves.

Danger of Disease: Transfer from Tags
It's real, it happens. Many viruses seem to be carried with passage of blood between animals. A tiny drop of blood is enough. Ear taggling CAN allow this transfer. With some tags, the applicator pin pierces the ear.
With Duflex, only the stud pierces the ear, so no disinfecting is needed between animals.
